ALPINA LAVALINA Leather
The ALPINA LAVALINA used to create your unique interior enjoys all the advantages of untreated full-grain cowhide, cask pigmented in a special tanning process to preserve its natural properties, sourced exclusively from premium south German cattle.
Not commonly found in automobile interiors because it is deemed too luxurious, ALPINA LAVALINA leather is in a class of its own. Silky smooth to the touch, excellent climatic properties and a natural, unique surface texture.
The qualities of the leather become apparent upon the first sensuous touch. LAVALINA shares its excellent properties with the natural hide from which it is derived: temperature regulating, moisture absorbing and extremely breathable. This makes it an ideal and luxurious basis for automobile interiors, ensuring highest seating comfort even in the most demanding climatic conditions found the world over.
In a special additional tanning process the individual fibres of the upper cowhide are impregnated with precious natural oils. The natural properties of the leather, its silky touch and radiant colours are preserved while simultaneously guaranteeing longevity and low maintenance. The natural traces and signatures of life which remain visible on the leather surface, give ALPINA LAVALINA its trademark characteristics, valued by connoisseurs world-wide.
Product: Selected cowhide, untreated, non-salt-preserved, exclusively sourced from premium south German cattle.
Tanning: Two stage tanning process, first on a mineral basis then re-tanned on a vegetable basis using the Tara pod. All colours are water-soluble and without chemical solvent. Environmentally friendly, ecologically minded, recyclable – natural!
Colour Consistency: A newly developed dyeing procedure guarantees minimal colour inconsistency and a natural appearance.
Comfort Attributes: ALPINA LAVALINA is very absorbing and temperature regulating, this provides maximum seating comfort in all climatic conditions. Its open-pored, permeable attributes make ALPINA LAVALINA extremely breathable, eliminating any discomforts often associated with driving long distances, especially when its very cold or warm.
Care & Maintenance: As gentle and natural as the leather itself, clean only with lukewarm, decalcified water and with a little pH-neutral soap.
